ER2 Stainless Steel Bowl (MUZ6ER2) is for the Bosch Universal Plus mixer. It comes with the splash ring and center lid. This bowl is sold without dough hook, gourmet whisks, and whip drive because those pieces from the Universal Plus mixer's standard plastic bowl fit onto this bowl. The polypropylene center drive shaft detaches in seconds from below for quick, easy cleanup. The stainless steel bowl capacity is 6.5 quarts (approximately 15 lbs. of dough).

The ER2 Stainless steel bowl is designed exclusively for the Universal Plus Mixer and has the same locking bowl design as the Universal Plus plastic bowl. This means that the bowl will not rock or move during the mixing process.

SB4 Stainless Steel Bowl for the Bosch Universal Plus Mixer: $79.99
SB4 Stainless Steel Bowl (MUZ6SB4) for the Bosch Universal Plus mixer. This is simply the stainless steel bowl shell by itself. You would use the accessory pieces (gourmet whisks, whisk drive, dough hooks, splash ring and center lid) from your standard Universal Plus Mixer to complete the bowl. Capacity is 6.5 quarts (15 lbs. of dough). The polypropylene center drive shaft drive shaft detaches in seconds from below for quick, easy cleanup.

A major difference between the ER2 stainless steel bowl and the SB4 Stainless steel bowl is the bowl locking mechanism. The SB4 bowl does not have the locking tabs at the base of the bowl so it will tip from side to side slightly when you are kneading heavy doughs. The bowl will not come off the base but can cause your Bosch machine to walk on the counter. With this is in mind, the price is right for most when wanting a stainless steel bowl accessory.

SB3 Stainless steel Bowl for the Classic Bosch Universal Mixer. This is simply the stainless steel bowl shell by itself. You would use the accessories from you Classic Bosch Mixer to complete the bowl. The gourmet whips, whip drive, dough hook, splash ring, and center lid from your classic Universal Bosch Mixer fit this bowl. It has a polypropylene center drive shaft drive shaft and a 6.5 quart capacity (15 lbs. of dough)
