So many have heard me tell about my original Bosch Universal kitchen mixer that I bought on SALE for $500 back in 1984, here it is! Definitely not like the new style Bosch Universal stand mixer and not something I would bring to a demonstration. My 1984 Bosch Universal Mixer is working and we do still use it. As you can see, I am making whole wheat bread in this pic. The beauty of Bosch Universal Mixer is that all the new Bosch attachments fit the old Bosch Universal Mixer. The Bosch machine style is definitely dated but not obsolete. I think this really makes the Bosch mixer stand apart from all other stand mixers, when a 26+ year old machine can be expanded to include the present day Bosch kitchen tools.
The story goes....in July of 1984 my hubby got me a KitchenAid stand mixer which I was very happy with as I had grown up with a kitchen aid mixer. In September, my hubby saw a Bosch mixer brochure on this newfangled mixer...the Bosch Universal Mixer could make 5 loaves of bread in one hour. He told me we needed it.
